DIFFERENT TYPES SUBCULTURES: THE DIY SUBCULTURES

Every individual has its own decisions to make in everyday life. The decision on what to wear, how to make a living, what to eat, who to hang out with, where to go, how we behave and respond to events that happened and what to study are decisions we must make as we go through this course of life. However, because of the different lifestyles that we live in it brought out different types subcultures.

The DIY (Do-it-Yourself) subculture is one culture that popped out. Just as the name implies, this is a do-it-yourself culture, it is basically doing what you want, behaving what you want and dressing what you want and no one has influenced and not control over that individual. The different types of subcultures we have here are varied and depend on religion, races, dressing, cultures and tribes. Some of these subcultures are very interesting to study and some have intricacies behind them.

In today’s time, there are numerous different types subcultures that exist today. You can find many social groups that have various tattoos printed on them. Some have unique hair styles like the dreads and afros, gothic and plenty more. They may look different that the rest of the culture they belong but that is how they live their lifestyle and they feel comfortable in it and, of course, as long as they do not insult or do things unlawful. Of course, there are also subcultures that are very hard to control and often times break the law and cause chaos.

These subcultures may settle and gather in one place but still these people are a great influence to the rest of the society they are living in.

Examples of very influential subcultures are hip-hop and gothic styles. They mostly influenced how people wear; The hip-hop primarily wears very loose pants  while gothic almost always wear black from top to down. If you look at it there is really nothing wrong if some of us follow their style of wearing, but there are times that we follow the ways of subcultures that are really wrong and unlawful. As said before, some different types subcultures are very hard to control, so, if you follow also their ways then you are in a heap of trouble.

The different types subcultures are sometimes bad and sometimes good. Though there is really nothing wrong on following their ways such as their fashion but just make sure that all the things you do are lawful and you do not go against the law.
