First of all Indian food is quite popular around the world and if you do not know this then you are really missing how great India is. Mostly, when people think about India the first thing that comes into mind is food. Furthermore, when it comes to food India can surely live up to its name when it comes to Indian food. India has quite a vast and very unique recipes and dishes that they can offer. From the low calorie content Gujarati snack called “dhokla” to the rich and oily Amritsari dish called Chole Bhature. Many of these great dishes are deliciously rare delicacies. Furthermore, Indian dishes are quite healthy and nutritious which makes Indian cuisine a good thing to nibble your taste buds on.

One reason why India’s food is quite diverse is that India has experienced many invasions long ago. Countries in Europe, the Arabs and the Persians have invaded India. During their regime, they have influenced India in many aspects in life most especially its food. Still, one great thing, as also mentioned before, about Indian cuisines is that they have a lot of healthy benefits.

When it comes to deserts and appetizers Indian cuisine is one of the healthiest cuisines around the world and is quite practical especially in our time today where almost everybody is health conscious and wants to live a healthy living.

If you ever plan to go on a diet, I am sure that taking desert is a big no-no. However, when it comes to Indian cuisine, it is quite the direct opposite. Indian deserts and known to have very low calorie content. Furthermore, almost all their foods uses minimal oil, green chilies, flour, jiggery and salt which is good because these ingredients can really ruin your dieting plan.

Indian food is quite great and healthy too. You can have as much as you want without worrying of getting too fat and unhealthy. Still, never forget that these great cuisines came from a long heritage and have survived many trials and invasions long ago. Food those are rich in history itself which can really spice up any dish you eat.
