As we know there are quite many cultures around the world. These culture have many distinct features and all have a great history behind them, though some cultures may be related by a culture or two but for sure these cultures has its own unique and really interesting culture and tradition.          Here in this article we are going to discuss about the Asian-American culture and more about them.

First of all let us define what is Asian-Americans. The Asian-American culture is a population living mostly in the United States where its self-identity which has an ancestry of either Pacific or Asian blood. As said in the previous sentence, not all Asian-Americans live in the United States, there are still a number of them that lives within Asian countries. Basically, these are sons and daughters of an American citizen and an Asian citizen. The most common, let us say, paired with the American culture are Philippines, Cambodia, China, India, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam. About 4.8% of the United States populations are compromised by Asian-American culture.

Stereotypes about the Asian-Americans
As noted by many social scientists, there are two types of stereotypes that, until now, continue to affect many Asian-Americans. One of which is that, whether you are a Filipino-American or a Chinese-American, all the Asian-American people are the same. You might not know this but generalizing the Asian-American people can be a problem. Put it this way, they maybe Asian-Americans but take note that Asia is known to have vast cultures and traditions and every one of which have many differences between each other. That is why when dealing with Asian-Americans it is best that you try to know what culture that person belongs to in Asia for every Asian country differs on how they deal with things. They may take it as an insult if you generalize then because, as said before, they greatly vary in culture and traditions, though they share the American culture, it is always best to be safe and to avoid further conflicts.

Today, the Asian-American culture is quite strong. There are many celebrities and known people of Asian-American heritage that are successful with their lives from almost all fields of life. As you can see, Asian-Americans should always be respected. One way of doing that is not stereotyping them and generalizing that they are all the same.
