MORE ON AFRICAN-AMERICAN CULTURES EDUCATION

In the past it can never be denied that African-American cultures were racially discriminated by white Americans. Also called “black Americans” these people were like stripped offed from their rights and the law was not with them. They were treated like dirt long ago but all that has change thanks to Martin Luther King Jr. and many other African-Americans all that has changed.

African-American cultures in the American society seems full of depressing difficulties endemic to dangerously high rates of imprisonments, often violent and a high mortality rate. In addition, school systems all throughout Americain which they consistently report a significant difference between school performances of African-American students with their peers. Many scholars argue that improving theeducation for African Americans would improve many of these upsetting social ills.

Much research followed in order to mediate in these challenges. Particularlythe most important agenda is about the academic performance of many African American children. However, the resolution of these problems often misleads many policy makers, educators and academics, as (Roach, 2004). Most educators support that the education of African-American cultures must involve the integration of cultures in all of the students academics. However, recently Barrera (1992) has discovered and studied a gap in the understanding of educators of the African-American culture. Hefound out in his study that because of the educator’s limited understanding of the African-American culture, this makes it a liability for them to effectively teach this culture.

Goode (1997) postulates that mostly of the educators do not know the dissimilaritybetween the Voluntary European immigration to the American culture and society, and involuntary they forced the relocation of African-American society to American culture. This oversight may explain the seemingly innocuous challenges of effectively training both the African-American and American culture. Good thing, however, that in today’s time, these difficulties are now less because a lot of Americans and African-Americans alike have set aside their differences. Though there are still racist discriminations that exist but at least they are much less compared to what it was before.

As you can see, the African-American cultures have really endured a lot but in the end they conquered a lot. As time passes by, for sure, all the racial discrimination will be gone and the whites and the blacks will now be united and through education both cultures will learn a lot from each other and will better improve their academic performance.
