Travelling all over the world is surely a big dream. Of course, in our times today where money is just a bit short it seems really impossible. Well, let me tell you that it is not only through travelling you can know more about the world. Even just sitting and reading through books and of course the internet could give you tons of knowledge on a place. Here in this article we are going to discuss more on Irish customs

What it the most distinct thing that every country does? Well, it is there flag. The flag is composed of green, white and orange colors arrange vertically respectively. Though it may seem that the flag is fairly simple, but this contains very rich Irish culture. Furthermore, Ireland is known as the third largest island in the continent of Europe and 20th in the world. The island of Ireland is located at the north-west of Europe and, to add, the North Channel and the Irish Sea separates this country from Great Britain. On the north side of Ireland is the Atlantic sea and in the south is the Celtic sea.

One of the many Irish customs is Ireland’s music which has been well known as the music that contains much power and tone. To put in in application, Irish music is a great genre of music to use especially on your wedding. Equally, in Ireland no wedding is complete unless Irish music is there. Furthermore, Irish music is even more, let us say, amplified if there are also Irish dancers in the dance floor. For sure, whatever feast and celebration you are holding, Irish music will surely give the instant fun and excitement that you need in a celebration.

Handfasting
This custom has since existed long ago in ancient Celtic times in Ireland. This particularly happens in weddings, most rampant that on those weddings that are not held in the church. This so handfasting happens on or before the exchange of marital vows of the husband and the wife. This one of the many ancient Irish customs happens where the hand of the bride is literally handed over to the husband by the father of the bride which is then fastened by a cloth. After that, the couple will then jump over a broom. Basically, symbolizes unity of the couple and the leap for the old to their new lives together as one.

Irish customs are quite rich in meaning and has rooted in ancient times but for sure, after knowing some of the Irish customs, you have learned a thing or two about how they do things their and hopefully, learn to appreciate it.
