A VIEW ON MEXICAN-AMERICAN CULTURE

America and Mexico share a common boundary which is around 3,141 kilometers on the north side. Furthermore, there are quite many Mexican that go across the border to America. Though there are Legal ones that cross but there are still many illegals ones seeking for a future in America. Here in this article we are going to discuss a view on Mexican-American culture and what it is now.

First of all, you can really not find any uniqueness of Mexican American culture with American culture and Mexican culture. Mexican-Americans either have pure American culture or Mexican culture or sharing both American and Mexican culture. Of course, Mexican American people have traits and attitudes that of both American and Mexican people.

Basically the Mexican-American culture is composed of Americans of Mexican lineage. About 11% of the United States populace is composed of Mexican-Americans. In the United States, the Mexican-American population is made up of 66% of all the Hispanics and the Latinos living in the United States.

As said before, there is really no uniqueness of the Mexican-American culture. They have no own music, they have no own tradition and so on. Basically, the culture and tradition that they follow is either of Mexico or America which depends of where they have settled.

Often, the Mexican-American live the American way but has the qualities of a Mexican. Mexican can be really emotional and sensitive by nature. They also try to avoid any kind of quarrels and confrontations even of the little kind.If you couple that with American nature which are hardworking and have professionalism can make a person really successful. This is maybe why there are many Mexican-Americans that are successful, in many different fields. Also, Mexican-American people tend to know Spanish in their early age and, if not, can quickly learn fast. This maybe because that their Mexican part is already used to the Spanish language.

In summary, Mexican-American culture really does not exist. They either share American and Mexican cultures and traditions.Still, these people are really hardworking and sensitive and if you ever encounter one, and in my opinion, can really be a great friend and companion.
