A VIEW ON INDIAN LANGUAGE


One of the world’s most diverse cultures is the Indian culture. One factor that could explain that is India has experienced many invasions long ago. Furthermore, many immigrants have decided to make India their permanent home. Still, though this country maybe diverse but, for sure, this field is quite an interesting study because Indian culture is quite rich and really amusing. Of course, due to the diverse culture, you can also expect many languages. This article will discuss a view on Indian languages and more about them.

India has been shaped to what it is now because of its vast but rich culture. After many wars, invasions and many immigrants that visited and settled in India, it is now a country of what we know today. There are many factors that have affected the start of many Indian languages. First of all its culture and traditions, next is the invasions and the visitors from foreign countries and lastly is the religion.One common thing that you will find about the Indian Culture is that if there is any special event, big or small, there is always singing and dancing taking place.  Even foreigners, can partake in this festive like culture that you will surely enjoy. As you can see, the Indian’s are quite welcoming and very friendly folk. This is one time were every Indian, though different in religion and culture, have fun together and have great conversation together while using one Indian language.

Though most Indians can still speak, though not that quite well, English below are the languages that are being spoken in India today.

Assamese – spoken by 13 million people
Bengali – spoken by 83 million people
Gujarati – Spoken by 46 million people
Hindi – About 258 million to 422 million; from standard Hindi to other types of Hindi languages.
Kannada – Spoken by 38 million people
Marathi – 72 million people
Telugu – Spoken by 74 million people
Tamil – about 61 million people
Urdu – About 52 million people
India’s population is about 1.2 Billion in the 2011 census. There are still many languages that Indian people speak but listed here is the major languages that the people speak in numbers. As you can see, the Indian language is quite diverse.

The Indian language has surely rich roots that it came from. Still, without the invasions and the settlers long ago. India would not be India if those people did not exist.
