For sure, every countries history is quite rich and vast and even this article is not enough to explain all of them. A bit of Mexican History
Long time ago, Mexico was inhibited by the Mayan tribe in which their primary crop was corn. However, in 1300s, the Aztecs became the most dominant population in Mexico which, let us say, outnumbered the Mayan tribe. In the Aztec’s rule, spices were now available like salt and chili peppers. It was also at this time that honey and chocolate appeared in the Mexican dish.

Two hundred years after, Mexico was invaded by the Spaniards which greatly influenced many of their traditions, cultures and religion. Furthermore, Spanish food became twined with Mexican food, which in effect made Mexican style cuisine evolve at these times. Of course, the invasion of the Spaniards is all not that bad. Spices were introduced to them in their Mexican cuisine.

Today’s Time
Mexican history has greatly influenced what is Mexico today just like in the music industry. There are quite a lot of Mexican artists and writers that has hit the worldwide charts. They have been acclaimed for their innovativeness and creativity. The best part is that these masterpieces contain both classical and folk tradition that has been really strong within the Mexican culture.

It can never be denied that the most popular type of Mexican art is the Mural and the most known school to offer teachings of this art, Mexican Muralist School, reckoned among its associates the most influential figures of all time. Just like the murals created by David Alfaro Siqueiros and Diego Rivera portrays the aspect of Mexican revolution and of course the Mexican culture itself.

Of course, who does not know or have not heard Mexican music? Maybe you have heard it but do not know that it is Mexican for that matter. The most popular types of Mexican music are called Mariachi and Ranchero music, which has greatly attracted a lot of people in this Spanish-speaking country.

The Mexican history and culture is quite vast but for sure, you have learned a thing or two about Mexico yesterday and what it is today.
