Mexico has really quite a vast and rich culture and, if they want, can brag about it. One of the great traditions and cultures of the Mexican is their great Mexican music. Mexican music is all about vibrancy and color. Furthermore, their music contains and depicts folklore, color and, most of all, their culture.

There are quite many styles and here in this article we are going to discuss some of them.

Mariachi
It was the original natives and the immigrants who followed them, just like the black slabs and the Iberians, which made this Mexican music. This type of music was also influenced by their culture and traditions. It was also believed that Mariachi is a style of music which was based largely on religion. When the Spanish conquest began, Christianity too began to spread in Mexico. Furthermore, music was practiced in preaching in which the available instruments where of Europe. Thus, these instruments where then incorporated by the locals of Mexico along with the customary musical styles. They were composed of 3 to 5 people usually with different instruments and wearing a very big hat, called a sombrero, short jacket, boots and tight pants. The musical instruments, as said before, where from Europe and also some of the Mexican instruments just like guitarron and vhuela.

Banda
This Mexican style of music just recently came and originated in Sinaloa. This type of music uses percussion instruments like tubas, trumpets and trombones. Occasionally, keyboards are used in this type of Mexican music.

Ranchera
This music is like “waltz” but this style of music has existed for hundreds of years, even before waltz was born.  This style of music depicts Mexican life, rural life of Mexico. In the past, you can hear this music in the ranches of Mexico. Furthermore, this style portrays patriotism, nature and love. This style also depicts religion but not as large as Mariachi.

There are still a lot of Mexican styles of music. Furthermore, there are even more styles that are being born. Of course, these styles have helped Mexico and have contributed to what is Mexico now. Still, whenever you hear traditional style of Mexican music, for sure, you will have an idea of what style they are using.
